Coach Lou’s journey into youth basketball began over two decades ago, fueled by a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes. As the CEO and founder of the Sports and Fitness Education Non-profit, his dedication and vision has transformed not just a single program but the entire landscape of youth basketball in South Florida.
Coach Lou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Keiser University and an Associate of Science degree in Educational Administration from Adelphi University. He chose to use his educational background to enhance the Athletic skills of young athletes while also promoting academic excellence. From the very beginning, Coach Lou establishes high academic standards, firmly believing that education and sports should go hand in hand.
His hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed; named one of the Top 15 Most Influential Travel and High School Personnel in Florida by the Florida Basketball Bulletin. This recognition is a testament to Louis’s significant impact on the game and the trust that many in the basketball community have in him.

The Sport and Fitness Education non-profit organization is committed to serving the community and believes that sports can be a powerful force for positive change. Our goal is to develop players who embrace servant leadership within the basketball community and use our platform to help student-athletes achieve their dreams.
Our South Florida Elite travel teams has participated in more than 400 tournaments sanctioned by respected organizations such as AAU, ON THE RADAR, MADE HOOPS, and numerous others. Competing across multiple skill levels, providing our student athletes consistent opportunities to showcase their talent while promoting the spirit of competitive basketball throughout South Florida.

Coach Lou has dedicated over a decade to coaching boys' travel club basketball. His commitment to the basketball community, coaching staff, and the success of student-athletes is evident in the more than 150 players who have earned college scholarships through their participation in the SFE program. We are not only developing skilled players but also fostering a community where student-athletes can learn invaluable life lessons through basketball.
